MORE BIODIVERSITY?
LET’S BUILD A NATURE TRAIL
Craigburn Farm is blessed with green spaces – an urban treasure and a sanctuary for biodiversity One of our major activities is to protect and enhance our biodiversity by building a nature trail. This will be an easily accessible trail passing through Woodlake Drive Reserve, the Wetland Reserve and Highfield Reserve.

These three Reserves are home to many species of birds, animals and plants species and we want to create an urban environment that protects and enhances their habitats.Â

To keep our project manageable, the nature trail will be completed in two stages. With the help of funding from Green Adelaide and financial and operative support from Mitcham Council, Stage 1 has already begun and will unfold over the next two years. Stage 1 will encompass work on Woodlake Drive Reserve and the south-east part of the Wetland Reserve. Â
Our butterfly garden has already been completed and in the winter 2025, work will start on weeding and revegetation along the creeklines as well as building a sensory garden.  It is an exciting project and if you want to get involved please contact us (wrag.woodlake@gmail.com).
